Jackson County, Mi – Jackson County is home to a variety of black -owned businesses, offering everything, from sweet treatments to water water rents.

February is coming soon, but the month of black history should not be the only time of the year to celebrate and control many excellent institutions of the Jackson area. Here are some that you can support not only this month, but every other day of the year.

Chelsea Jones started baking like a hobby, and now runs one of the best places for ripe goods in Jackson.

Jones’ business has been removed since the opening of physical location in 2022. In addition to signing it with strawberry leaf cake, Jones has added some tastes of cupcakes and cakes to its collection, including chocolate peanut butter, turtle, banana pudding and lush lemon.

What began as a tradition of making smoothie at home has become a complete family business.

The Mahoney family, led by the five daughters of Jackson Mayor Daniel Mahoney and his wife Semaj, realized their long dream of opening a business in 2023, offering specially designed smoothies that could quench anyone’s thirst.

Customers can choose from more than 10 smoothies in the menu, choosing their almond milk base, apple juice, orange juice or water before adding and mixing other ingredients.
